Pe contul său oficial de Facebook, Mihai Craiu abordează o serie de subiecte de interes ridicat pentru părinți. Recent, în urma unui eveniment neplăcut din Iași, medicul a abordat subiectul administrării mierii la sugari și motivul pentru care niciun părinte nu ar trebui să mai facă acest lucru, vreodată!
„Stirea zilei vine de la Iași unde un domn este internat în comă, in sectia de Terapie Intensivă, după ce a consumat o conservă de pește.
Pacientul are botulism.[…]
Dar ce legatură ar avea conserva de pește cu dieta copiilor mici? La sugar nu se dau conserve de pește. De obicei…Dar mierea se utilizează. Nu rareori… Acest articol prezinta cazul fericit al unei fetițe de 3 luni ce a fost diagnosticată cu botulism după ce a primit miere. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3448763/ Mierea cea plina de virtuți terapeutice NU se administreaza la sugari!! Deoarece ar putea dezvolta botulism infantil. Acesta poate incepe lent, sub forma unei hipotonii, asociata cu ptoză palpebrală (nu poate ridica pleoapele pentru a deschide bine ochii), dificultati de supt sau de inghitire sau, mai grav, paralizie a mușchilor respiratori cu moarte subită a sugarului. De obicei boala evoluează FARA febra”, avertizează medicul Mihai Craiu într-o postare pe contul său oficial.
